Download the Saturday DNA Program information brochure/application (PDF)

Currently, a large number of local high school teachers incorporate Biotechnology in the Classroom protocols into their curriculum. Students have the opportunity to participate in experiments covering DNA extraction, restriction enzyme analysis, bacterial transformation, and PCR. For those students interested in expanding their educational experiences in this field, we are offering the Saturday DNA Program. These supplemental workshops cover more advanced topics in biotechnology and genomics not touched on by the kits.

Teachers involved in the Biotechnology Teacher Support Network, may nominate two students from their school to participate in the program. A program application is required. Students must provide their own transportation to and from UC Davis. Parking is free and lunch is included. We hope you join us for this exciting program!
