Biotechnology Kit Loan Program
Since beginning the loan program in January 1996, nearly 15,000 Sacramento area students have participated in biotechnology laboratories. Forty-two teachers in twenty-three different schools take advantage of this program. Student evaluations have been overwhelmingly positive with 86% responding that they enjoyed participating in the laboratories and 58% stating that they would like to learn more about the subject.
Prior to receiving the kit, teachers must participate in an in-depth workshop illustrating the proper usage of the equipment and the science behind the activities.
